This is a beginners course for you who work with animation and want to start using Autodesk 3ds Max. The program is both a modeling and visualizer and this beginners course gives you an understanding of how it is structured, what tools are available and how they are intended to be used.
3ds Max is both a modeling and visualizing program. Shape geometry in 3ds and use data created in other programs. There are great opportunities to visualize still images and even animations completely without restrictions. This course focuses on both the creation of presentation material such as photorealistic product images and films.
The steps you will learn in 3ds Max beginners course include basic navigation in the program and its menus, modeling, import of CAD data, material or texture management, lighting, camera settings and rendering. This is a beginners course that provides an understanding of how the program is structured, what tools are available and how they are intended to be used.

Cadcraft’s 3Ds Max beginners course is aimed at those who want to learn how to use 3ds Max. The focus of the course is on how to take in CAD data from other programs. Then you can create different materials and scenes as well as illuminate and create materials with the goal of then producing images. Some simpler modeling and animation are included in the course.
General computer skills are required as well as a certain feeling for graphic design.
After the course, you must have sufficient knowledge to get started and work independently with 3ds Max.
Understand how 3ds Max works, on a basic level.
Understand and navigate the interface according to your needs.
Create geometry, and edit and modify.
Manage CAD data in a good and easy way.
Use existing materials and create your own materials.
Create your own digital studios, HDRI lighting, etc.
Know the rendering settings.
The exercises are pedagogically structured. The focus is on the right methodology for you to learn from the beginning to model, handle materials, light and more, in an effective way.
Basic knowledge in drawing technology is a requirement, which means that you must know what a drawing is and what it should look like.
We use course material that contains both theory and practical exercises. In some cases, we also supplement with our own examples and exercises. Cost for course material will be added.
