Course description

Target audience

Users to start using Inventor’s and AutoCAD’s layout management module.

Objective for Inventor Factory Design advanced course

After completing the course, you should be able to create layouts in AutoCAD and Inventor and visualize them in Navisworks.

The goal after completing the course is that you should be able to:

Introduction
Understand the basic structure of the module and the CAD programs involved.

3D layouts
Create 3D layouts in Inventor using the Asset library.

2D layouts
Combine 3D layout with 2D layout in AutoCAD.

AutoCAD Architecture
Create simple walls and doors with AutoCAD Architecture.

Navisworks
Create visualization of the entire layout in Navisworks.

Assets
Create your own 2D and 3D objects that can be used as layout objects (Assets).

Exercises

The exercises are pedagogically designed so that you can practice creating layouts in Inventor Factory Design. The focus is on the right methodology for you to learn how to create layouts in the most efficient way possible from the beginning.

Previous knowledge

Basic knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD and Inventor is a requirement.

We use Powerpoint with overview information and supplement with our own exercises. Course material is included in the course.
