Description

This is a course for you who want to get a basic understanding of how to create complex geometries in Autodesk Inventor. We go through how to control curvature transitions between curves and between surfaces, create sketches where you use both 2D and 3D splines. You get to create complex radius, swept surfaces, and model with both surfaces and solids. We will analyze models to find any problems and be able to use different solutions for these. We will also divide an existing party into several parts to create details that, for example, will be injection molded. You will learn to use the various tools to analyze models that are to be molded.

The course is aimed at those who want to learn how to draw products with advanced form. The course is designed so that you, regardless of industry, background or area of ​​use, will be able to satisfy you with the course.

After completing the course, you should have the skills required to draw complex products.

The goal after completing the course is that you should be able to:

  • Know how NURBS works.
  • G0, G1 and G2 continuity for fine transitions between surfaces.
  • Splines in Inventor, Vertex and Edit Points.
  • Import sketches as background for modeling.
  • Freeform modeling.
  • Boolean operations.
  • Create dividing lines.
  • Create jogging or gaps between details.
  • Use and analyze release.

The exercises are pedagogically structured. The main focus is on the right methodology for you to learn to model with complex geometry from the beginning.

Previous knowledge

Basic knowledge of Autodesk Inventor.
