Course description

Target audience

The course is aimed at those who are going to start using Inventor’s sheet metal module.

Objective with Inventor sheet metal advanced course

After the course, you will be able to create new sheet metal formats and sheet metal models, create your own punch tools, make extensions, export to DXF and create complete sheet metal drawings with punch and bend tables.

The goal after completing the course is that you should be able to:

Understand the basic structure of the module.

Sheet metal functions
Create 3D models for sheet metal with the tools in the module.

Corner adjustments
Manage corners and adjustments for these.

Sheet metal spreads
Create sheet metal extensions and export to custom DXF files.

Sheet metal styles
Create and manage your own sheet metal styles and their settings.

Punching tools
Create and manage different punching tools.

Drawing production
Produce drawings with, among other things, bending and punching information.

Skeletal modulation
Manage “Multibody” modeling of sheet metal details.

Previous knowledge

Basic knowledge of Autodesk Inventor is a requirement.
