Description

Revit Electrical Step 2 is an advanced course and can be read independently, provided that you have completed the Revit AEC beginners course Step 1 or have equivalent knowledge from before.
During the course you will learn how to handle electrical systems in Revit. You will learn to model, handle various electrical components and to present your projects with drawings and layouts.

Course description

Target audience

The course is aimed at those who want to use Revit to work with electrical installations or similar in construction.

Objective with Revit Electrical advanced course

After completing the course, you will have sufficient knowledge to get started and be able to work independently with Revit Systems with a focus on electricity.

The goal after completing the course is that you should be able to:

Introduction

  • Understand the basic principles of Revit Electrical

Sewer system

  • Build a channeling system for electricity with cable trays and ladders etc.

Project properties

  • Manage project properties for electrical systems

Symbol and model representations

  • Manage symbol and model representations of electrical components, control panels and luminaires, etc.

Electrical system

  • Model electrical systems in Revit

Electric pipes

  • Handle electric pipes in Revit

Group schedules

  • Develop group schedules and phase balancing

Documentation

  • Document your projects by creating drawings, lists, quantities and layouts

Previous knowledge

Step 1 – Revit AEC beginners course or equivalent knowledge. Basic knowledge in drawing technology is a requirement, which means that you must know what a drawing is and what it should look like.

Course material

We use an English course material that contains both theory and practical exercises. In some cases, we also supplement with our own examples and exercises. Cost for course material will be added.
