Description

Revit wood construction is an advanced course that you can choose to read as Step 2 after you have read Revit AEC beginners course Step 1. The course can also be taken independently provided that you have corresponding knowledge from before.
During the course, you will learn how to handle construction solutions in Revit with a focus on wooden elements. The course deals with both flooring, wall and ceiling elements, how to optimize your methodology and what problems you may be faced with in your work.

Course description

Target audience

The course is aimed at civil engineers, or others who want to use Revit to work with wooden structures in a professional way.

Objective with Revit Wood Construction advanced course

After completing the course, you must have sufficient knowledge to get started and be able to work independently with wooden construction and building elements of wood in Revit.

The goal after completing the course is that you should be able to:

  • Handle construction timber for floors, walls and ceilings
  • Create beam elements, floor and wall frames
  • Place and handle rafters
  • Create roof paws
  • Create documentation with cap lists

Previous knowledge

Step 1 – Revit AEC beginners course or equivalent knowledge. Basic knowledge in drawing technology is a requirement, which means that you must know what a drawing is and what it should look like.

Course material

We use a Swedish course material that contains both theory and practical exercises. In some cases, we also supplement with our own examples and exercises. Cost for course material will be added.
